Editorial contact

Email

editor@harryscoins.com

For editorial corrections, source suggestions, and topic requests. Please include the page URL you are referencing and, when possible, a link to the primary source that supports your correction. We aim to respond within five business days.

What we handle

The editorial inbox is for content-quality matters. The most common message types we receive:

  1. Factual correction. A figure, date, statute reference, or company detail on a page appears wrong. Include the page URL and the primary source (IRS publication, statute, company document) that contradicts the current text.
  2. Source suggestion. You know a better primary source for a topic we cover. Include the source URL and the page it would strengthen.
  3. Missing coverage. A Texas gold-IRA question we have not addressed. Include a plain description of the question and your reason for asking.
  4. Broken link or display bug. A link returns a 404, or a page renders incorrectly. Include the URL and, if possible, the browser you were using.
  5. Sponsorship, syndication, or press inquiries. Send these to the editorial address; we will route internally.

What we cannot do

Harry’s Coins is editorial. The requests below are outside our scope:

  • Open, transfer, or roll over your retirement account. Account actions must go through a qualified self-directed IRA custodian or non-bank trustee.
  • Sell you coins, bars, or any physical metal. We are not a dealer. See our company reviews to identify a dealer.
  • Store your metal. We are not an IRS-approved depository. Storage must go through an approved depository such as the Texas Bullion Depository, Delaware Depository, Brinks, IDS, or CNT.
  • Give personalised financial, tax, or legal advice. We publish general educational material. For your specific situation, consult a licensed advisor.
  • Recover funds lost to a metals scam. Report suspected fraud to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (cftc.gov), the Federal Trade Commission (reportfraud.ftc.gov), the Texas State Securities Board, and the Texas Attorney General’s consumer protection division.
  • Confirm whether a specific dealer’s current offer is legitimate. We publish written reviews using published criteria; we do not evaluate one-off promotions in real time.

How the correction process works

When a reader flags a factual error, we run a standard verification pass before changing the page. The pass has four steps.

  1. Acknowledgment. We reply within five business days confirming receipt and noting the page under review.
  2. Primary-source check. We re-verify the disputed fact against the original source (IRS publication, statute, court decision, or company document). If the current text is contradicted, we prepare a correction.
  3. Page correction. The corrected text goes live with a dated note at the bottom of the page explaining what changed and why. The post_modified date is bumped so search engines can pick up the revision.
  4. Reply to the reader. We reply with a link to the corrected page and a note on the source we used.

If the check confirms the original text is correct, we reply with the source and reasoning rather than changing the page.

Response time

Editorial email replies target five business days. Complex corrections that require a full source review can take longer. Complex company-review updates (fee schedules, custodian partnerships, complaint counts) are batched and reviewed on a rolling schedule, so a targeted correction may reach a page before a full review refresh does.

Reporting concerns about a dealer or custodian

If your concern is a specific dealer, custodian, or depository (billing dispute, missing metal, delayed transfer, high-pressure sale), Harry’s Coins is not the right escalation channel. The primary escalation channels for Texans are:

  • Better Business Bureau. File a complaint on the company’s BBB profile at bbb.org.
  • Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Precious-metals fraud complaints. cftc.gov.
  • Federal Trade Commission. General consumer fraud. reportfraud.ftc.gov.
  • Texas State Securities Board. If the company is offering an investment product. ssb.texas.gov.
  • Texas Office of the Attorney General. Consumer protection complaints. texasattorneygeneral.gov.
  • Your custodian. If the concern is an account entry rather than a sale, the custodian holds the paperwork and can research it.

We are happy to receive a copy for editorial awareness, but the enforcement channels above are the ones that produce action.

Press, syndication, and sponsorship

Press requests, quote requests, syndication licences, and sponsorship inquiries can be routed to the editorial address at the top of this page. We do not accept paid placement inside company reviews and do not sell verdict-influencing arrangements. Sponsorship discussions apply only to clearly separated placements consistent with the tier model published in our affiliate disclosure.

Privacy

Email you send to the editorial address is used only to answer your message and, where relevant, to correct or expand a page. We do not sell or share the address. Full details on our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a phone number?

The editorial team is contactable by email. A phone number is not published because we do not conduct account transactions, sales calls, or personalised advice sessions. If your matter needs a phone conversation with a person authorised to open or move a retirement account, the correct contact is a qualified self-directed IRA custodian or a licensed advisor.

Where is Harry’s Coins physically located?

Harry’s Coins is a digital publisher. Coverage is Texas-focused; the editorial operation is not tied to a customer-facing physical location and we do not publish a storefront address, because there is no storefront.

Can I send you my custodian statements to review?

No. We are not licensed to advise on individual accounts and are not equipped to hold client documents. A licensed financial advisor or the custodian itself is the right party for that review.

Do you accept guest posts or link exchanges?

No. We publish only content produced by the Harry’s Coins editorial team, and we do not participate in link-exchange programs.

How fast will you respond?

Target reply time is five business days. Corrections requiring a source-verification pass can take longer. Rush requests are answered when possible but not guaranteed.

What happens after I email a correction?

We acknowledge within five business days, re-verify against the primary source, and either publish a correction (with a dated note) or reply with the source that supports the current text. See the correction process section above for the four-step sequence.
